Meet Melanny,

Melanny Garay is Chief People Officer of J.D. Glass, Inc., where she leads hiring, employee development, and the internal culture of a workforce that spans two shops, an estimating office, and field crews across California. She brings to the role a clinical background in psychology that shapes how the company recruits, trains, and retains the people who carry out its work.

She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, graduating at the top of her class and completing the degree in three years rather than the standard four. She went on to earn her master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, again finishing at the top of her class, with a 3.92 grade point average.

In addition to her responsibilities at J.D. Glass, Melanny holds consulting roles with Kaiser Permanente, where she applies that same clinical training within one of the country's largest integrated healthcare systems. Working across two very different operating environments keeps her practice sharp and informs the judgment she brings to both.

Her presence on the leadership team reflects a conviction central to how J.D. Glass is run: that a construction company is only as strong as the people who staff it, and that how a team is built and supported shows up directly in the quality of what it installs.
